Outstanding Volunteer Group Chair - Chapter Level

Purpose

  • To openly honor a recipient who has demonstrated outstanding qualities and/or service to the AMTA in their Chapter Chair position
  • To promote outstanding achievements and to honor an individual who is deserving of said recognition

History

  • Award established in 1996
  • To be given annually
  • Award is selected and kept unannounced until time of presentation
  • Award given to one (1) recipient per year
  • Recipient name printed in Chapter Newsletter

Qualifications

  • Meets all requirements for position held
  • In good standing at the time of award consideration
  • This award may be given posthumously
  • Recipient may serve as Chapter Chair to more than one (1) volunteer group; however, will receive award for only one (1) volunteer group
  • This award may be given to a Volunteer Group Chair who has completed a project to benefit AMTA or enhance the massage profession
  • May be a past recipient of another Outstanding Chapter Chair Award
  • Nominated by any Chapter member
  • Approved by the President and/or Board of Directors
