Purpose
- To openly honor a recipient who has demonstrated
outstanding qualities and/or service to the AMTA in
their National Chair position
- To promote outstanding achievements and to honor an
individual who is deserving of said recognition
History
- Award established in 1996
- To be given annually
- Award is selected and kept unannounced until
time of presentation
- Award given to one (1) recipient per year
- Chair’s name printed in Hands On
Qualifications
- Meets all requirements for position held
- In good standing at the time of award
consideration
- This award may be given posthumously
- Recipient may serve as National Chair to more than one (1) Volunteer Group; however, will receive award for only one (1) Volunteer Group
- This award may be given to a Volunteer Group Chair
who has completed a project to benefit AMTA or
enhance the massage profession
- May be a past recipient of another Outstanding
National Volunteer Group Chair Award
- Recommended by the Awards Committee
- Approved by the Executive Committee
