Outstanding Volunteer Group Chair - National Level

Purpose

  • To openly honor a recipient who has demonstrated outstanding qualities and/or service to the AMTA in their National Chair position
  • To promote outstanding achievements and to honor an individual who is deserving of said recognition

History

  • Award established in 1996
  • To be given annually
  • Award is selected and kept unannounced until time of presentation
  • Award given to one (1) recipient per year
  • Chair’s name printed in Hands On

Qualifications

  • Meets all requirements for position held
  • In good standing at the time of award consideration
  • This award may be given posthumously
  • Recipient may serve as National Chair to more than one (1) Volunteer Group; however, will receive award for only one (1) Volunteer Group
  • This award may be given to a Volunteer Group Chair who has completed a project to benefit AMTA or enhance the massage profession
  • May be a past recipient of another Outstanding National Volunteer Group Chair Award
  • Recommended by the Awards Committee
  • Approved by the Executive Committee
